Datto RMM pricing in 2026

Datto RMM has no public price list. This page covers what is public: how the billing model works, what the Kaseya contract terms say, what the community reports at renewal, and what to ask for in a quote.

Short answer

Datto RMM pricing is quote-only. Kaseya, which owns Datto, does not publish a per-endpoint price, and our pricing index found no figure it could verify, so we do not print one. What is documented is the structure: a Committed Minimum Quantity plus variable consumption, auto-renewing terms, and community-reported renewal increases of 5 to 8 percent.

Last verified: April 2026. Source: the 2026 RMM pricing index, which reviewed the Kaseya Master Agreement and Datto's help documentation directly. Published by Breeze, an RMM vendor. See the disclosure below.

What is public

Datto RMM pricing at a glance

Because there is no list price, any per-endpoint figure you see quoted for Datto RMM reflects an individual negotiated deal. Here is what can be verified.

Item What is documented
Published list price None. Datto RMM is quote-only.
Pricing model Per endpoint, set by a negotiated quote
Billing model Committed Minimum Quantity (CMQ) plus variable consumption. Datto ended its high-water-mark billing model in December 2025.
Main sales motion The Kaseya 365 Endpoint bundle, which packages RMM, endpoint security, and backup into a single per-endpoint price
Reported renewal increases 5 to 8 percent, per reports on r/msp (community-reported, not confirmed by the vendor)
Total cost of ownership in the index Quote required. The index does not estimate it.
Lock-in risk rating in the index High

We do not include a worked annual cost example for Datto RMM. The index excludes it from its cost-by-fleet-size tables because there is no published price to calculate from, and we will not invent one.

The billing model

How Datto RMM billing works after December 2025

Datto RMM used a high-water-mark billing model until December 2025. It then moved to a Committed Minimum Quantity (CMQ) plus variable consumption. You commit to a minimum number of endpoints for the term, and usage above that floor is billed as variable consumption.

The practical effect shows up when you lose a client. Quantities may increase during a term but cannot decrease below the committed minimum, so churn does not lower the base bill until the next renewal negotiation. Set the CMQ at a number you are confident you will stay above for the whole term, not at your current peak.

The fine print

Datto RMM contract terms and hidden costs

The index sources the following from the Kaseya Master Agreement and Datto help documentation and rates them High confidence. Your own order form governs, so check each one against it.

Auto-renewal

Subscriptions auto-renew for the same committed term and quantity unless cancelled in writing before the renewal date.

Committed Minimum Quantity

Quantities may increase during a term but cannot decrease below the committed minimum. Losing endpoints to client churn does not reduce the base bill until the next renewal negotiation.

Early termination

Under the Kaseya Master Agreement, terminating during a committed term accelerates 100 percent of remaining fees. The full remaining contract value becomes due immediately.

Billing model transition

Datto RMM ended high-water-mark billing in December 2025 and moved to CMQ plus variable consumption. Customers who relied on elastic billing, where the count adjusted automatically each month, may face higher committed floors under the new model.

Auto-added licenses

Datto RMM, Advanced Software Management, and Ransomware Detection licenses can be automatically added when usage triggers certain thresholds. Features you did not explicitly purchase can push invoices up.

Bundle pressure

Individual components can still be purchased standalone, but pricing is structured to make standalone purchases economically unfavorable compared with the Kaseya 365 Endpoint bundle.

What you get

What is included and what costs extra

Core RMM capabilities are included. The items that fall outside standalone Datto RMM are the same ones the Kaseya 365 Endpoint bundle is built to sell.

Included in the platform

  • Remote access
  • Patch management for operating systems and third-party applications
  • Scripting and automation
  • Alerting, monitoring, and network monitoring
  • Reporting, API access, and a mobile app
  • Multi-tenant management
  • PSA integration with Autotask, a separate Kaseya product

Integration, bundle, or separate license

Backup

Not part of standalone Datto RMM. The index lists it as available through an integration or the bundle.

Security and antivirus management

Also listed as integration or bundle. Endpoint security is one of the three components of Kaseya 365 Endpoint.

AI features

Listed in the index as requiring an integration or partner, not included in the platform.

Auto-added modules

Advanced Software Management and Ransomware Detection are licensed separately and can be added automatically when usage crosses certain thresholds.

In fairness to the bundle: Kaseya 365 packages RMM, endpoint security, and backup at an aggressive per-endpoint price, and if you want that full stack from one vendor it is competitive. The trade is the switching cost once several tools come from the same vendor under the same committed term.

Six questions to ask on a Datto RMM quote

With no public price to anchor on, the terms matter as much as the rate. Get these answered in writing.

  1. 1

What is my Committed Minimum Quantity, and what is the per-endpoint rate for variable consumption above it?

  2. 2

What is the committed term, when is the renewal date, and what is the written cancellation window?

  3. 3

What is the renewal price, and is any part of this quote promotional?

  4. 4

Which licenses can be added automatically, and how do I turn that off or get notified first?

  5. 5

What is the standalone Datto RMM price next to the Kaseya 365 Endpoint bundle price, itemized?

  6. 6

What do I owe if I terminate before the end of the term?

How Breeze pricing compares

This page is published by the team behind Breeze, an open source RMM that competes with Datto RMM. Read it with that in mind. We kept the Datto facts above to what our pricing index could verify from Kaseya's own agreement and Datto's help documentation, and we left out any price we could not source.

Breeze publishes its pricing. The self-hosted Community edition is free under AGPL-3.0 with no device limit, so there is no committed quantity to negotiate. If you would prefer not to run a server, Breeze Cloud is a hosted plan with a flat published price, not metered per device or per technician. Self-hosting is not free in practice: you pay for the server and the time to maintain it, and you take on the patching and on-call work a vendor would otherwise handle. Current plans and prices are on the Breeze pricing page. For the feature-level view, see Breeze vs Datto RMM and Breeze vs Kaseya.

Datto RMM pricing FAQ

Answers drawn from the same verified data as the rest of this page.

How much does Datto RMM cost per endpoint?

Datto RMM does not publish pricing. It is quote-only, and as of mid-2026 Kaseya does not publish list pricing for VSA, Datto RMM, or Kaseya 365. Our April 2026 pricing index found no per-endpoint figure it could verify, so we do not publish one. The only way to get a number is a sales quote.

Why does Datto RMM not publish pricing?

Datto RMM is owned by Kaseya, which acquired Datto in 2022, and every deal is a negotiated quote. In our pricing index, seven of fourteen platforms do not publish pricing, and for the PE-owned platforms (ConnectWise, Kaseya VSA, Datto RMM, N-able N-central, and N-able N-sight) there is no way to estimate cost without a sales conversation.

What is Datto RMM CMQ billing?

CMQ stands for Committed Minimum Quantity. Datto RMM ended its high-water-mark billing model in December 2025 and moved to a Committed Minimum Quantity plus variable consumption. Your quantity can increase during a term but cannot decrease below the committed minimum, so losing endpoints does not reduce the base bill until the next renewal.

Can you cancel a Datto RMM contract early?

You can, but it is expensive. Under the Kaseya Master Agreement, terminating during a committed term accelerates 100 percent of the remaining fees, so the remaining contract value becomes due immediately. Most MSPs time a switch to their renewal date and send written non-renewal notice inside the required window.

Does Datto RMM pricing go up at renewal?

Reports on r/msp describe renewal increases of 5 to 8 percent and sales pressure toward multi-year commitments. Those are community reports, not vendor-confirmed figures, and your agreement governs what applies to you.

Sources and method

Every Datto RMM fact on this page comes from The True Cost of RMM in 2026: Annual Pricing Index, last updated April 2026. For Datto, the index relies on the Kaseya Master Agreement and Datto's CMQ billing FAQ. Renewal increase figures are community reports from r/msp and are labeled as such. Agreements change, so read your own order form. If you have Datto RMM contract data that would improve this page, email [email protected]. Corrections are credited.
