Atera pricing in 2026

What each Atera plan costs per technician, what that works out to per endpoint at different team sizes, what costs extra, and where the model stops being a bargain.

Short answer

Atera charges per technician, not per device. On annual billing, Pro is $129, Growth is $179, and Power is $209 per technician per month. Monthly billing is $159, $209, and $249. Every plan has unlimited endpoints, and Superpower is quote-only.

Last verified: April 2026, with annual rates rechecked against Atera's published pricing in July 2026. Source: the 2026 RMM pricing index, which rates this data as High confidence. Published by Breeze, an RMM vendor. See the disclosure below.

The published numbers

Atera plans and prices

Atera pioneered per-technician pricing in the MSP RMM market. You pay a flat monthly rate for each technician, with no cap on how many endpoints that technician manages. Prices are per technician, per month.

Plan Monthly billing Annual billing (effective monthly) Includes
Pro $159 $129 RMM, monitoring, alerts, PSA and helpdesk, billing, reporting
Growth $209 $179 Adds advanced automation and analytics
Power $249 $209 Higher-tier bundle with expanded capabilities
Superpower Quote Quote Enterprise features, custom pricing

No endpoint cap on any plan. Monthly or annual billing.

Worked example

What Atera costs per year by team size

These totals use the Pro plan at the $129 annual-effective rate. Technician counts follow the ratios the index uses for every vendor: 1 technician at 50 endpoints, 3 at 250, 8 at 1,000, 20 at 5,000, and 40 at 10,000. Your ratio will differ, and the per-endpoint column moves with it.

MSP size Endpoints Technicians Pro monthly Pro annual Per endpoint / month
Solo 50 1 $129 $1,548 $2.58
Small 250 3 $387 $4,644 $1.55
Mid 1,000 8 $1,032 $12,384 $1.03
Growth 5,000 20 $2,580 $30,960 $0.52
Large 10,000 40 $5,160 $61,920 $0.52

At 10,000 endpoints with 40 technicians the effective cost is $0.52 per endpoint, cheaper than every per-endpoint vendor in the index. The solo operator managing 50 endpoints pays $2.58 per endpoint, which is more than several per-endpoint alternatives. The model rewards growth and penalizes small operations.

What you get

What is included and what costs extra

Atera bundles PSA into the base price, which platforms that sell PSA as a separate product do not. That matters when you compare it to a per-device RMM quote that leaves the PSA license out.

Included in the platform

  • Unlimited endpoints on every plan, with no endpoint cap
  • Built-in PSA and helpdesk, plus billing and reporting
  • Remote access
  • Patch management for operating systems and third-party applications
  • Scripting and automation
  • Alerting, monitoring, and network monitoring
  • Security and antivirus management
  • API access, multi-tenant management, and a mobile app

Costs extra or varies by plan

Backup

Listed in the index as a paid add-on. It is not part of the per-technician price, so budget for it separately.

Higher tiers

Advanced automation and analytics start at Growth. Power is the higher-tier bundle with expanded capabilities, and Superpower is quote-only with enterprise features.

AI Copilot

When the index was verified in April 2026, AI Copilot availability varied by tier. As of June 2026 the AI Copilot assistant is included in every plan at no extra cost, per Atera's support documentation (checked July 2026). Confirm the current position before you buy.

The seat itself

The structural cost of this model is the technician seat. Every technician you add is another seat, whether or not your endpoint count changes.

The hidden cost

Where per-technician pricing costs you more

The index documents one hidden cost for Atera, and it is structural, not a fee. It does not appear on the pricing page: at small scale you overpay per endpoint. A solo technician managing 50 endpoints pays $2.58 per endpoint. A solo technician managing 200 endpoints pays $0.65 per endpoint. The economics only work if your technician-to-endpoint ratio is high.

That has a second-order effect. MSPs that staff conservatively, with more technicians per endpoint for better service, pay more than MSPs that run lean. The break-even points against per-device pricing: Atera Pro at $129 per technician equals $1.50 per endpoint at 86 endpoints per technician, equals $2.00 at 65, and equals $3.75 at 34. Compare that with the NinjaOne published range to see which side of the line you are on.

The fine print

Atera contract terms

Billing term

Monthly or annual billing. The annual-effective rate is lower: Pro is $159 per technician on monthly billing and $129 on annual billing.

Endpoint limits

None. There is no endpoint cap on any plan, so there is no overage math when a client adds machines.

Lock-in risk

The index rates Atera as Low for lock-in risk. It did not document auto-renewal ratchets, committed minimum quantities, or early termination acceleration of the kind found in the quote-only vendors' agreements.

How Breeze pricing compares

This page is published by the team behind Breeze, an open source RMM with a built-in PSA that competes with Atera. Read it with that in mind. We kept the Atera figures above to what we could verify, and we give Atera credit: per-technician pricing with unlimited devices is simple, public, and a good deal for lean teams.

Breeze does not price the technician seat or the device. The self-hosted Community edition is free under AGPL-3.0 with no device limit and no technician limit, so the software cost does not grow with your fleet or your headcount. If you would prefer not to run a server, Breeze Cloud is a hosted plan with a flat published price, not metered per device or per technician. Self-hosting is not free in practice: you pay for the server and the time to maintain it. Current plans and prices are on the Breeze pricing page, and the feature-level comparison, including where Atera's billing integrations are ahead, is on Breeze vs Atera.

Atera pricing FAQ

Answers drawn from the same verified data as the rest of this page.

How much does Atera cost per technician?

On annual billing, Atera Pro is $129 per technician per month, Growth is $179, and Power is $209. On monthly billing the same plans are $159, $209, and $249. Superpower is quote-only. These figures come from our April 2026 pricing index, and the annual rates were rechecked against Atera's published pricing in July 2026.

Does Atera charge per device?

No. Atera charges a flat monthly rate per technician, and there is no endpoint cap on any plan. Your bill changes when you add or remove technicians, not when clients add machines.

Is Atera cheaper than NinjaOne?

It depends on your technician-to-endpoint ratio. Atera Pro at $129 per technician per month equals $1.50 per endpoint at 86 endpoints per technician, $2.00 at 65, and $3.75 at 34. NinjaOne's published range is approximately $1.50 to $3.75 per device per month, so Atera is cheaper once each technician manages more than 86 endpoints, and can be more expensive for a small fleet.

What does Atera cost for a solo technician?

One Pro seat on annual billing is $129 per month, or $1,548 per year. For a solo technician managing 50 endpoints that works out to $2.58 per endpoint per month. At 200 endpoints the same seat works out to $0.65 per endpoint.

Is a PSA included in Atera pricing?

Yes. The Pro plan includes RMM, monitoring, alerts, PSA and helpdesk, billing, and reporting in the per-technician price. Backup is a paid add-on.
