Billing & Invoicing
The work bills itself: time and parts on the ticket become the invoice.
In most stacks, billing lives in a different product than the work: an RMM does the fixing, a PSA does the invoicing, and a sync job argues with both. In Breeze the ticket, the time entry, the parts, and the invoice are one system, so nothing billable falls through the seam.
From resolved ticket to invoice
Technicians log time with a live timer anchored to the ticket, or enter it manually, and record parts with quantity, unit price, and an optional cost basis; entries default to billable using each organization’s hourly rate. Invoicing draws on that same record (plus your product catalog) with a draft editor built around a shared search-as-you-type picker, so nothing is re-keyed and there’s no export/import round-trip. Once issued, an invoice carries a one-click PDF download and a payment link: customers pay by card through your own connected Stripe account, settled directly to you with no platform fee, and payments collected online are recorded automatically so your books stay accurate without manual entry.
Contracts and recurring billing
Recurring contracts turn a managed-services agreement into invoices on their own schedule (monthly, quarterly, or annually) so recurring revenue bills itself without manual work each cycle. Contract value isn’t a guess: per-device and per-seat counts resolve live as you build a contract, with an estimated monthly recurring total on the list and a per-period estimate on each one. When a customer accepts a quote, its recurring lines spin up a draft contract automatically, and contracts can renew themselves and send a renewal notice ahead of the date so agreements don’t lapse unnoticed. Distributor subscriptions from Pax8 link directly to contract lines, keeping what you bill in sync with what’s actually provisioned. Cancelling a contract is a terminal action (it stops all future invoicing), so it requires confirmation.
Governed like everything else
The built-in AI operator (and any connected MCP client) can create and update invoices and contracts on the same surface you do, governed by the risk engine: every AI action passes through the same evaluation and approval gate as everything else on the platform. It’s the same guardrail that applies to quotes and tickets, so billing a job doesn’t mean stepping outside the platform’s approval trail.
Margin you can actually see
Parts carry an optional cost basis and time carries billable status, so the platform knows what a ticket cost you, not just what it billed. Invoices carry their own internal margin panel showing that profit at a glance, computed from the same shared math as the quote it came from so the two numbers can never diverge, visible to you, gated behind invoice-read permission, and never shown on the customer’s copy.
