The Answer to Shadow AI

Employees are already pasting company data into public chatbots. AI for Office is the alternative IT can approve: the assistant works inside the spreadsheet, and everything it sees is scanned first. Credit-card numbers, credentials, and other sensitive patterns are redacted before the model ever sees them — and the audit trail never stores the sensitive form.

Governed by Policy, Enforced by the Server

Every organization gets its own policy: who can use the assistant, whether it can write at all (read-only mode strips write tools entirely), whether writes need per-change approval, daily and monthly budgets, rate limits, and data retention. Policies are enforced server-side — the pane’s controls are convenience, not the guardrail.

Approval Previews

Non-destructive reads execute immediately. Anything that changes the workbook is parked as a before/after preview card the user approves or rejects. Organizations that allow it can enable auto-apply; the default is ask-first.

Delivered Under Your Brand

The pane carries your display name and logo. For MSPs, that makes AI for Office a service line: governed AI your clients get from you, managed from the same Breeze console as everything else. Sign-in is their existing Microsoft account — no new passwords.

Starting with Excel

Excel is the first host application. The control plane — identity, policy, DLP, audit, budgets — is host-neutral by design, so additional Office applications can follow without rebuilding governance.
