How to Track a Client's Security Score and Show It Improving

Breeze RMM gives each client one security score out of 100, built from every machine's antivirus, firewall, encryption, patching and password posture, then ranks what to fix first and plots the score over time so you can show a client the trend at their quarterly review.

What's in the demo

  • Security → Overview with Acme Manufacturing picked in the client switcher: Security Score 83/100, badge Strong (green from 80, amber from 60, red below), recalculated every hour as the average of every machine's own score
  • The cards under the score: Antivirus Coverage Protected 32 (100%), Firewall Status Disabled 4 (13%), Encryption Status BitLocker 25 and FileVault 5, Password Policy 85% compliant
  • Security Recommendations: Total 7, Open 7, Critical + High 5, Completed 0. Each card shows a priority, a category, Impact, Effort and Devices
  • The critical card first ("Reduce active threat and exposure risk"), then "Increase firewall enforcement" at high on 4 devices, opened to its 3 remediation steps: audit policy exceptions, enforce firewall state through endpoint policy, validate business-critical application traffic afterwards
  • The Security Score Trend card for Acme: 71 on 2026-09-22, 83 on 2026-10-22, up 12 points in 30 days
  • The switcher set to All organizations ("Showing all organizations · 6"): the same overview rolled up across 94 devices, score 84
  • Security Score detail page: Overall Score 84/100, Grade B, 94 devices audited, 8 categories with their weights (Patch Compliance 25%, Disk Encryption 15%, AV Health 15%, Firewall, Open Ports, Password Policy and OS Currency 10% each, Admin Exposure 5%) and an Affected column of machines scoring under 80
  • Security Trends at 90 Days: Current Score 84, Previous Score 63, Change +21, Trend improving, with Patch Compliance switched on to show where the climb came from

Questions this video answers

How is the security score calculated in Breeze RMM?
Every device is scored 0 to 100 across eight weighted categories: patch compliance 25%, disk encryption and antivirus health 15% each, firewall, open ports, password policy and OS currency 10% each, and admin exposure 5%. A client's score is the average of its devices' scores, recalculated every hour. Security → Overview → Security Score → View details shows the weights and how many machines fall under 80 in each category.
How do I know which security problem to fix first for a client?
Open Security → Overview, pick the client in the switcher, and click View details on the Security Recommendations card. Each recommendation's priority starts from the category's baseline severity and rises with the share of the client's machines affected, and the list is sorted by priority, then device count. Each card lists its remediation steps.
Can I show a client that their security is improving?
Yes. With the client selected, the Security Score Trend card on Security → Overview plots that client's score for the last 30 days; in the demo Acme goes from 71 to 83. The client's portal dashboard reports the same 30-day change ("up 12 in 30 days").
Can I see security posture across all my clients at once?
Yes. Set the client switcher to All organizations and the overview rolls up every client you manage. From there, the Score detail page shows the eight weighted categories and the Trends page plots up to 90 days with a line per category.

A note on the demo: the Score and Trends detail pages are filmed in the All organizations view because in this build they show book-wide numbers even when one client is selected; per-client numbers come from the overview and Recommendations. The low OS Currency row (54%) and the 27-device critical card come from the demo data's Windows version strings, not from real agent data. All organization and device names are fictional demo data.
