v0.83.3 hotfix

Release v0.83.3

Jun 25, 2026

A stability hotfix that further reduces database pressure during patching and deploys, repairs auto-update of the Windows user helper, and makes ticket requesters editable.

Improved

  • Editable ticket requester with a device link. A ticket's requester can now be selected and changed after the fact, and the linked device is now a clickable link straight to that device.

Fixed

  • Reduced database pressure during patching and deploys. Fixed the root cause of a slowdown where patch and deploy operations could hold database connections open longer than necessary, building on the earlier connection-handling work.
  • Repaired Windows user-helper auto-update. The end-user helper component now updates itself reliably again — earlier builds could fail to fetch the update on self-hosted servers.
  • Tidied device status display. The pending-reboot indicator no longer wraps awkwardly beneath the 'Down' status pill.

Version 0.83.3 is a focused stability hotfix and the current stable build of the 0.83 line. The headline fix tackles the root cause of database connection pressure during patching and deploy operations, continuing the connection-handling work from recent releases so busy installations stay responsive while patches roll out.

It also repairs auto-update of the Windows end-user helper — which could previously fail to fetch its update on self-hosted servers — alongside a couple of everyday improvements: ticket requesters are now editable with a one-click link to the linked device, and a small device-status display glitch is cleaned up. It’s a recommended, drop-in upgrade for anyone on the 0.83 line.
