Release v0.83.1
Jun 23, 2026
A hotfix that restores login for accounts required to use multi-factor authentication, plus a new control for self-hosted operators to stage agent rollouts.
Added
- Staged agent rollouts for self-hosted operators. A new option lets you separate publishing a new agent build from rolling it out to your fleet — newly released binaries stay available to download, but the fleet only moves to a new version when an administrator explicitly promotes it (a multi-factor-gated, audited action). It defaults to the previous behavior, so nothing changes unless you turn it on.
Fixed
- Restored login for MFA-required accounts. A change in the previous release could leave users who are required to set up multi-factor authentication stranded at the login screen; this release fixes the underlying cause and hardens the enrollment page so an interrupted setup falls back to a clean re-login instead of failing.
Version 0.83.1 is the first stable release of the 0.83 line and a recommended upgrade for anyone who deployed the 0.83.0 pre-release. The main fix restores login for accounts that are required to use multi-factor authentication — a change in the previous build could leave those users unable to get past the login screen — and makes the enrollment flow more resilient if setup is interrupted.
This release also adds a control for self-hosted operators who want a steadier hand on agent updates: you can now keep a freshly published agent build downloadable while choosing exactly when it rolls out to your fleet, turning promotion into a deliberate, audited step rather than something that happens automatically on release.
