Bandwidth Monitoring
Real-time and historical network throughput for every interface.
Bandwidth Monitoring tracks network throughput across every physical and virtual interface on your managed devices — no configuration required.
Automatic Collection
The moment a device enrolls, bandwidth data starts flowing. The Breeze agent collects per-interface byte counters on every heartbeat, computes delta-based inbound and outbound rates, and filters out loopback, container, and bridge interfaces so only meaningful adapters appear in your data.
Per-Interface Visibility
Aggregate metrics give you the device-level picture, but per-interface breakdowns tell the real story. See throughput, packet counts, error totals, and link speed for every adapter — including dynamic interfaces like VPN connections that appear and disappear between collection cycles.
Historical Trending
Select from 1-hour, 6-hour, 24-hour, 7-day, and 30-day views to identify peak usage periods, track capacity trends, and build a baseline for normal traffic patterns. Aggregation intervals adjust automatically to keep charts readable at every scale.
Threshold Alerting
Connect bandwidth data to alert rules that fire when inbound or outbound throughput exceeds a defined threshold. Bandwidth alerts can trigger automated playbooks — useful for diagnosing runaway processes, restarting misbehaving services, or notifying the network team without manual intervention.
Operational Value
Bandwidth data lives alongside CPU, RAM, and disk metrics in the same unified timeline. When a performance issue surfaces, you can correlate network activity with other system signals in a single view rather than pivoting between separate tools.
Capabilities
Per-Interface Throughput
Inbound and outbound bytes per second tracked per physical and virtual interface alongside cumulative counters.
Automatic Rate Computation
Delta-based rate calculation with counter-wrap protection, first-collection guards, and gap detection for clean data.
Historical Trend Ranges
Five predefined time ranges from 1 hour to 30 days with auto-selected aggregation intervals for capacity planning.
Interface Noise Filtering
Loopback, container bridge, Hyper-V virtual, and IPv6 tunnel interfaces are automatically excluded from tracking.
